Our Vision

Landforce’s vision focuses on fostering a fair society where every individual feels included, resides in a healthy environment, and achieves their highest aspirations.

We envision a thriving Pittsburgh region where access to restored parks, safe trails, and vibrant green spaces is a shared reality for every neighborhood — not a privilege reserved for a few.

By uniting environmental restoration with equitable economic opportunity, our vision ensures that the people who care for our land are supported, valued, and empowered to build lasting futures for themselves and their families.

Core Framework

Our Mission

Our mission aims to cultivate self-empowerment for individuals seeking reliable, meaningful employment while simultaneously safeguarding and restoring natural habitats.

Landforce invests in individuals who have faced systemic barriers to employment — including people returning from incarceration, overcoming addiction, navigating mental health diagnoses, or experiencing housing instability and generational poverty.

Through paid, hands-on environmental training, life-skills development, and individualized career coaching, crew members step into their power while restoring vital public land assets across Allegheny County.
